the fireplace inserts are in
The fireplace inserts are finally fitted. This one is inside the fire suround that was already in the house (I'm guessing 1911) in the dining room, the other one is an eBay bargain, in the lounge. The hall one, red, I bought the fireplace and surround on eBay together, for like nothing.

laying the floor
We have (the first stage) of a reclaimed oak parquet floor.. yet to be sanded and sealed but layed in the old-fashioned craftsman way (and super speedy) by Jim and his team.
