So much for my weekend of doing nothing; had a lovely purchase-free (on my part, anyway) wander round Hampstead yesterday afternoon, followed by herbal tea at the House on the Hill, followed by fruit and vegetables at my house.
In the evening, I went down to Putney for a light, roasted vegetable supper, followed by fruit at A's. [strangely memetic aside: A called me when I was in Hampstead and said did I want to come over for supper. I said cool, had a couple of tentative arrangements I needed to check out. Then I called back and said I'd love to come, but I'm not eating wheat or dairy. He said, that's fine; inspired by your blog, neither am I. He's lost half a stone, and looks truly fabulous.] Met H properly for the first time - we often say hi to each other, but never really chat - and she's lovely and funny and entertaining. I like it when my friends have nice friends.
A acknowledged he always takes his friends' advice, but generally some time after it was given, and repackaged as if he's just thought of it himself. Like most people, then.
